Every Friday we do out Grape and Grain tasting, this is where we showcase the latest and greatest arrivals in the store. The wine is picked by the illustrious Josh and the beer is chosen by the incredible Kathy. Sometimes, it is the release of a new vintage of a tried and true classic that has been in the store. Other times, it is something completely new that we are excited to share. While Wine is in our name we also have a full range of beer so we like to showcase the best of both worlds on Friday.
Some of the new beers we have in are the Rodenbach Fruitage, Stone Enjoy by 9.4.2017, Dogfishhead. All delicious beers but in very different ways. First the Rodenbach Fruitage which is the perfect end to summer beer. The Fruitage is a very interesting beer; it’s a flanders red ale- a blend of 3/4 young beer and 1/4 aged beer matured for 2 years in oak folders with added cherries and elderberries. This beer is light, refreshing a yet full of flavor. A must try!
The Stone Enjoy By 9.4.2017 is a testament to how IPA should be consumed. The best IPA’s are always drunk fresh. This beer is brewed with 10 different hops and designed not to last. A fresh and golden IPA that is well worth a try.
Last but certainly not least the Dogfish Head Oak Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout. It is a aged in oak on Vanilla beans. Described by the brewery as “Brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley, we’ve taken this Dogfish Head classic and aged it on oak with real vanilla beans! With a little tender love and care, sweet wort into the big, bad blackened stout it always longed to be. Its bold, port-like complexity goes great with (or as) dessert.” Sounds like a delicious way to end a meal or day!
